Remember those Christmas colored red and green paper chains you used to make as a child? Looking at one may instantly bring back memories of hot chocolate, fudge, and cinnamon smells coming from the kitchen. That's just a natural reaction to seeing a symbol of the holidays and your childhood. Now, you can also get your kids involved in counting down the days to Christmas with a paper chain. It's super easy and so very cheap to do. All you need is construction paper, scissors, and tape or glue.

Cut long thin strips of paper red and green construction paper, in equal amounts. Make circular sections and ring them together. Voila! You have a paper Christmas chain. Drape the chain over the tree, the mantle, or the banister.
