Couponing Haul - Mueller's Pasta - Food Lion

Food Lion was running a deal on pasta this week.  Without coupons, they were selling a box of Mueller's Pasta for $1.79, but it was also a Buy One Get One Free deal (BOGO).   A few weeks back, we snagged coupon inserts from all the foreclosures in the neighborhood and loaded up on Mueller's $1 off 3 boxes coupons.  With this coupon, we were able to accumulate a dozen boxes of pasta to start our stockpile.  Average cost was 56 cents per box.  With eight servings in a pound of pasta, the cost per serving will be 7 cents.

Obviously, this is only the beginning of a stockpile. Twelve pounds of pasta would last for about 20 meals when leftovers are fully utilized.  The next time a pasta coupon is circulated in the Sunday insert, I will try to get even more coupons.

Russell got a night job working as a janitor in addition to his job as a chemist. To save on gas money he slept in his car. It took four and a half years to become debt free.
