Use A Smartphone App

Do you want to live a frugal lifestyle? Are you the type of person that combs every purchase with a fine tooth comb before spending the money and searches to the ends of the earth looking for coupons to save money on that next shopping trip? I have a tip for to make any frugal shoppers day. Living in the technological world of today, almost everyone has a smart phone. These smart phones have applications such as "Coupon Sherpa" and "SavingsStar". Download the application, search the coupons and present your phone to the cashier at the store. The cashier will scan your coupon and the savings instantly come off the total! Just go into your phones App store, down load these apps for free and start saving money.

Coupon Sherpa App
The Coupon Sherpa app is completely free. As you shop, it allows you to search locally for deals that may be available in your location. With a coupon in hand, the cashier simply scans the barcode off of your phone, rather than handling a printed coupon.  So, the double bonus is that it saves you time, paper, and ink.

SavingStar App
The SavingStar app is also completely free.  After setting up an account, you add your grocery rewards cards to your account.  Select coupons you would like to redeem from major brands like Pillsbury and Zyploc.  When you buy these items at the grocery store, the savings are automatically added to your SavingStar account.  When you reach $5, you can elect to have the money sent to you through a service like Paypal.
